GHEE

WHAT IS GHEE ?

Ghee, in other words, “Clarified Butter” is made by removing milk solids & sugars from butter by slow-heating process. The Uplifting Indian Food Co. makes its Ghee, only from high-quality organic, grass-fed butter using the traditional slow heating process.

More than just a cooking oil, plain ghee is an excellent choice for baking, sautéing, marinating, or even as an additive to empower your everyday cup of coffee. Roast your veggies in ghee, spread it on your toast, or make delicious desserts, the choices are just about infinite.

WHY IS GHEE BETTER THAN OTHER EDIBLE OILS?

Ghee has an amazingly unique nutty-flavour and is a better-Butter alternative" for baking, as a spread on a toast, a cooking/sauteying oil, an empowering agent to your daily coffee, to being a significant part of Ayurvedic natural medicine for prevention of many diseases.

Being Keto-friendly, lactose-free, high in Vitamin -E, concentrated in monosaturated Omega 3s, as well as anti-inflammatory effects make it an obvious choice for a healthier, modern living.

Another highly significant factor that gives Ghee an upper hand over the other edible oils is that Ghee has a very high Smoke Point (around 250 °C), which means it does not burn like other oils, compared to butter at 150 °C, Coconut oil at 180 °C & Olive Oil at around 200 °C. This quality allows it be used in many different ways and allowing the foods cooked to taste better.

HOW LONG BEFORE YOU CAN USE GHEE ?

Ghee can be used without refrigeration, within 3 months. If keeping beyond that timeline, we recommend refrigerating and using within 12 months of the date of manufacturing on the jar. The shelf life of our Ghee is 24 months, without opening.
